EMI Service & Promotion FAQs

Q1. Why should I choose a 15% down payment when my actual down payment will be less than that amount? 

A1: Because the government requires the loan amount to be a round number, the actual down payment amount will be adjusted appropriately according to the down payment ratio.

Q2. How many months can I pay in installments?

A2: You can choose installment plans of up to 9 months (4 Months, 6 Months & 9 Months) 

Q3. Why was my last term repayment so low?

A3: Because you paid a certain amount of guaranteed deposit in the on-site payment, you can pay less after deducting that amount from the last repayment.

Q4. What happens if I don't repay myself on time

A4: Your phone will be suspended. 

Q5. Why do the installment-marked words appear on my phone?

A5: Your phone lacks a sim card and if you insert the sim card, it will disappear.

Q6. Why is the smartphone price higher when purchased through EMI?

A6: If a customer chooses to purchase a phone under the EMI facility, the applicable EMI charges will be applied. This price includes the technical service fee charged by PalmPay, which covers technical support services provided through the PalmPay app.    

In addition, the financial service fees/charges imposed by the financing institutional partner such as insurance fees, membership fees, and service fees are also included in the total payment of the smartphone purchased through the EMI facility.

 

Repayment Online Process: 

Step1: When customers buy phones on installment from GPC or Partner’s store. Please scan the QR code and download the PalmPay APP. This app is used for EMI payment and EMI monthly installment.

Step2: Create an account with your GP phone number and log in

Step3: Confirm your monthly payment amount

Step4: Ensure on time monthly payment Customer can pay installment through their bKash, Nagad or bank account.

 

Smartphone Locking Policy:

If any customer fails to pay the installment, the following will be applicable

A watermark indicating “Installment Payment Due” will appear on the screen as a reminder.

On the 1st day past the due date, the device will be automatically locked.

On the 3rd day past the due date, all outgoing calls will be barred. Additionally, communication through third-party applications (e.g., WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.) will be restricted.

Starting from the 20th day past the due date, the user will no longer be able to make or receive any calls.

 

Unlock Process: 

Customer must pay due installment through their bKash, Nagad or bank account. 

To unlock it will take 48 to 72 hours

 

Installment process/ EMI/Smartphone related to other T&C:

  • Chetona, the financial institutional partner of PalmPay, can change or, amend the Installment / EMI facility with the associated terms & conditions that will be displayed through the PalmPay app.
